At MAKAIA we remain convinced that technology is a tool for social inclusion. For this reason, our first Digital Adoption Workshop of 2019 that will have as its purpose to strengthen their digital skills of people with hearing disabilities.
The workshop will be 4 hours long and will take place in two sessions of two hours each, on February 5 and 7, respectively. On this occasion, we have had the support of Fundación EPM (EPM Foundation), which will facilitate the classroom and computers in Training Room 1 of the EPM Public Library. Alejandra Serna, ICT trainer with extensive experience will guide the sessions in Colombian sign language. With no cost, the registration form is at the end of this article, but people can also sign in directly at EPM Library or calling at (4) 4480374 through the Relay Center, a website that allows the interpretation of Sign Language into Spanish and from Spanish to Sign Language).
This Workshop is part of the actions of the Project “Inclusion for people with disabilities in Colombia” that is financed with resources donated through the GlobalGiving platform, and seeks to contribute and overcome some of the barriers faced by people with disabilities to access information and knowledge that will contribute to improve their living conditions and develop their daily activities.
