Who we are?

We are MAKAIA’s coding and programming Bootcamp, a platform and employment model for the technology sector, which finds high potential talent, trains them and connects them with companies.

What do we offer?

We empower your talent so that in 9 weeks you can acquire the technical knowledge in web development and programming, skills of being and employability tools that will connect you with job opportunities in the technology sector.

Our bootcamp is intensive: Dedication of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week to learn in sessions accompanied by a tutor. Additionally, you need a few hours to work on your own on challenges that will help you strengthen your knowledge.

Our classes are 100% virtual.

What will you learn?

In addition to Front-end or Back-end web development, you will strengthen skills related to 21st century skills, agile software development methodologies and employability skills. We accompany you in the process of job search and relationship with the companies allied to the program.

Program description/ FRONTEND

You will learn how to build what users see and use in websites, applications and other web solutions, using the methodologies and tools that companies use. You will become strong in HTML-CSS, bootstrap, material design, Javascript and others.

What will I learn? FRONTEND

Technical Skills: Web Fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Responsive Design, WebPack, Babel, ReactJS intermediate, Version Control Systems (Git and GitHub), Cloud Application Deployment (Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, Firebase), Design Thinking.

Skills for the 21st Century: Adaptability, self-management and divergent thinking. Teamwork. Construction and consolidation of knowledge through challenges. Lifelong learning (technical and human). Critical thinking.

Program description/ BACKEND

You will learn to program functions, procedures or applications that process information on the server side, using the methodologies and tools that companies use. You will become strong in NodeJS, MongoDB, GRAPHQL, Firebase and others.

What will I learn? BACKEND

Technical skills: Acquires competencies to program functions, procedures or applications that process server-side information, using technologies such as: NodeJS, MongoDB, GRAPHQL and Firebase.

21st Century Skills: Adaptability, self-management and divergent thinking. Teamwork. Construction and consolidation of knowledge through challenges. Lifelong learning (technical and human). Critical thinking.

  • Be between 18 and 25 years old
  • Not be studying or working (have time availability of 5 hours a day for 9 weeks)
  • Have basic programming knowledge (look at study suggestions below)
  • Have finished high school, technical average or a technique. DO NOT be professional.
  • Carry out the entire selection process successfully (more details later).

The scholarship includes the 9-week training process and food support (when the course is developed in person), as follows:

  • It covers the entire training process in technical and soft skills, with expert tutors on the subject and speakers from allied companies.
  • Training materials.
  • Support in the employability process.
  • Snack every day during the training process (when the course is developed in person).
  • The scholarship does NOT cover transportation costs to the place where the courses will be held (when this takes place in person).

No. One of the requirements of the scholarship is to have a bachelor’s degree.

Yes, you can apply to the course, but in that case, you must pay in full (see costs and sources of financing below). Our scholarships (if available) are for high school graduates between 18 and 24 years old who have not yet accessed other training offers in higher education.

Generally the training takes place in the morning, from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. The exact time is defined in each group, however, it is important to keep in mind that the intensity of the session is 5 hours a day for 9 weeks.

The course has a cost of $ 3,843,700 pesos. If you meet the scholarship requirements, you would only have to pay transportation to get to the place of training. In case you do not meet the scholarship requirements, you have these payment or financing options:

  • Apply to a SumanTI Fund credit (fund created by Comfama, Ruta N and Sura, with low rates, grace period up to 12 months, payment term up to 24 months, other benefits)
  • Direct payment to MAKAIA

Step 1: Register here

Step 2: Technical test: if you like technology and programming, you will have no problem, we are interested in validating that people who enter Academia Geek have a basic knowledge of logic and programming. If you want to prepare for this test, below we leave you some links (all free) that will help you in the preparation.

Step 3: Psychotechnical test: this helps us to get to know you as a person, to know what your potential is and where there may be opportunities for improvement, which at Academia Geek we will help you enhance.
